Laia Costa
Laia Costa (born 18 February 1985) is a Spanish actress, born in Barcelona. She has lived in the United States since 2015. She plays the lead role in ''Victoria'', a film shot in a single take about Victoria, a runaway party girl, who is asked by four friendly men to join them as they hit the town. Their wild night of partying turns into a bank robbery. Costa's other film credits include ''Tengo ganas de ti''. Her television credits include ''Carlos, Rey Emperador'', ''Bandolera'' and ''The Red Band Society''.
As of 2015, she is the first foreign actress to win the German Film Award for Best Performance in a Leading Role. She was awarded the Spotlight Breakthrough Acting Award 2014 in Subtitle Film Festival, Kilkenny – Ireland. In TV she has starred in CITES, the Spanish remake of the British TV series DATES, and POLSERES VERMELLES (The Red Band Society), winner of the International EMMY® Kids Award 2014 for Best TV Series that has also been adapted by Steven Spielberg for North America.〔http://www.laiacosta.com〕
